How to setup a Static IP Address - Android Version 4.2

Quick Instructions:

Settings > Connections tab > Wi-Fi > Select the Network (hold down) > Modify network config > Show advanced options > IP settings > Static > Type in desired network information > Save.

Detailed Instructions with Pictures:

Tap the Menu key under the devices display (bottom left).

Tap Settings.

Make sure that the Connections tab is selected (upper left).

Tap Wi-Fi.

Tap and hold the Network that you want to use a Static IP Address on until additional options appear on the display.

Note: if you see a “Forget” option then you didn’t hold your finger down on the network long enough.

Tap Modify network config.

The phone will display 2 available options. Show password and Show advanced options.

Tap Show advanced options.

To adjust your Proxy Settings.

Note: you do not need to change the proxy settings on your phone in order to set a static IP address. But I am going to briefly demonstrate the process should you choose to do so.

Tap on the Proxy settings option shown, the default is usually set to none.

Select Manual.

Scroll down and enter the information for the Proxy you would like your phone to use.

To set your static IP Address

Tap IP settings.

DHCP is often the default setting used.

Select Static.

Tap on the fields that you want to edit and set manually.

Type the desired information provided by your ISP (Internet Service Provider).

Click Save.

This error shows that sysprep was run multiple times on the machine, please open a command prompt, type: slmgr /dlv to view how many times of remaining Windows Activation count. Generally speaking, to sysprep the image on a single computer for multiple times, you need to configure the Microsoft-Windows-Security-SPP | SkipRearm to 1 in the unattend.xml file. I am assuming whether you configure the Microsoft-Windows-Security-Licensing-SLC | SkipRearm to 1 instead of SPP, the SLC setting is deprecated and should not be used.  

As a work around of this problem, please type: regedit in the Start Search box to open Registry Editor, set the value of GeneralizationState under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup\Status\SysprepStatus to 7, then run sysprep again.

If the same issue still persists, please unistall the MSDTC and Reinstall it, then try the sysprep.

To uninstall MSDTC :- msdtc -uninstall

To reinstall  MSDTC :- msdtc –install

Open regedit and ensure the following registry keys have been deleted (they all may not be present):

•   HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CID
•   HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CID.Local for Windows 2008
•  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSDTC
•  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSDTC

1. Reboot the machine.
2. From a command prompt run “msdtc -install” without the quotes.
3. On Windows 2003 Servers…From Add/Remove Programs, Add/Remove Windows Components under the Application Server Details check “Enable network DTC access” services and then “Next” through the wizard until completed.
4. Verify the MSDTC was installed successfully by reviewing the application event log.
5. From a command prompt run “msdtc -resetlog” without the quotes.
6. In the Administrative tools, Services verify the Distributed Transaction Coordinator service is started and then change the properties of the service so the startup type is “automatic."
7. Also, remember to go into Component Services and change the security settings for the DTC to match the other machines.

1.  First, disconnect your device from your computer.

2.  Next, find your FireWire (IEEE 1394) controller in Device Manager (go to Start > Control Panel > System > Device Manager).

3.  Find locate the driver and right-click and go to "Properties." 

4.  Once there, open the drivers tab and click on "Update Driver."

5.  Use the "Search for files on your computer" option. 

6.  Then select the "Choose from a list" option, the "OHCI Compliant Host Controller (Legacy)" driver will be list, select that and click "Next."

Make sure you are using the latest driver from our website here and test your device's connectivity again.
